Test Engineer (Thermal Performance & Durability)

Job Description

JOB PURPOSE
- Test Engineer required to carryout thermal performance and durability system tests on fuel cell applications.
- Good knowledge of thermal and mechanical durability test methods required for preparation of test procedures, calculation and analysis of results, compilation of report
- The ability to design and manufacture bespoke test equipment
- Installation and calibration of specialist instrumentation as required
- Programming and operation of computer controlled data logging systems
- Generation and implementation of business development, process improvement and cost reduction initiatives

Market and Business Understanding

Good knowledge of instrumentation, data logging systems, data reduction and analysis skills required

QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Practical knowledge in the generation of test, evaluation and acceptance requirements that relate to technical requirements/specifications.

Knowledge of Automotive industry acceptance standards

Experience of co-ordinating engineering, manufacturing and supply chain functions in the context of delivering qualification testing activities.
